CHAPTER 8

Riley

“What are you shaking your head at?” I narrow my eyes in on the cheeky guy. He’s had a smirk on his face ever since he picked me up tonight.

“Just been waiting a long damn time for this, baby doll.”

He’s nearly asked me out every day for the past four months. I’d say he’s been patiently waiting for this date. Secretly, I’ve been longing for it too. As much as I tried to fight my feelings for him, I clearly did a poor job of it.

“Well, you definitely earned it.” I bite back my smile, feeling the blush creep up my cheeks. I can still feel the tingles between my legs. All day I was suffering in heat. His mouth is quite a force, dominant and demanding. The things his tongue can do… Whew.

He shifts forward, leaning across the table, hovering nearly a few inches from my lips. His eyes giving me one sultry as hell look and making me squirm in my seat.

“Had I known burying my tongue in that tight little cunt is what would’ve gotten you to agree to be mine, I would’ve had your thighs over my shoulders every night in that stockroom. Fuck baby,” he groans. “Daddy can’t wait to tuck you in tonight and give his pretty girl lots of special kisses.”

The need rushes right in. My panties now a soaked casualty to the fire he just lit. If we don’t change the subject, I’m not going to make it through dinner. The ache is throbbing like a beating drum, making it nearly impossible to concentrate, but I’m determined to hold out and get through this date.

“So, tell me what you were like as a kid?” I ask, forcing the breathless question past my lips.

His eyes narrow in, studying me in silence before he opens that tempting mouth again. “Fine. I’ll behave.” He leans right into my ear, coating my arms in goosebumps as his hot breath whispers against my skin. “For now. But all I can think about is crawling under this table and licking up the mess I know you’ve made.”

And now I’ve made even more of a mess of myself. “You…as a kid…” I push the words out before I’m begging him to get on his knees. This man is one heady pill to swallow.

“I was a terror as a kid.” He sits back, giving me a chance to breathe again. “Gave my mom hell. But then she ended up getting sick, and I snapped the fuck out of my shit. I turned my life around and stepped up to the plate, taking care of her for her last three years. Making sure she had the best care, and that all the bills were paid for. I didn’t want her to live her final days with a single stress on her mind. And before she passed away, she told me how proud she was of me.” His eyes light up as if her approval is what he was always searching for.
